MADISON, WI — The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) West North Central region's 2020 Community Leadership Award program honors individuals and organizations whose exemplary work has been influential in the expansion of sustainable, higher-performing buildings and LEED projects throughout the region's local USGBC communities of Central Plains, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri Gateway, Nebraska Flatwater, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

A jury examined the slate of nominations, awarding points for leadership approach, strategies that push the envelope of green design, resolution of challenges with innovative solutions, and high performance. Each submission has been judged on its own merit, with the final level of recognition determined by the total points each nomination individually accumulated during jury review.

2020 Award of Excellence
This designation is reserved for nominations that earn 90 percent or more of available points during jury review.
